Catherine Parish & Ben Colton first started dating in Southern California during the tail end of the COVID pandemic. They shared many passions, and bonded over their enjoyment of the great outdoors. At the time, Ben worked for one of San Diego’s largest commercial landscaping contractors and Catherine’s career in Tech allowed her the freedom to hike and explore as frequently as she pleased. Their shared dreams of marrying their passions with their work lead them to Truckee in 2022 and engaged in 2023.

Ready for a new challenge, Ben founded Martis Valley Landscapes shortly after their engagement. They run the company as a team. Catherine’s the brains, and Ben… well, he’s pretty good at landscaping…
